MERIDIAN -- Two women are in the Ada County Jail after a high-speed chase through Meridian Wednesday morning.

Idaho State Police say 24-year-old Tabatha Ellis was the driver of a car that fled troopers after they attempted a traffic stop.

The pursuit was called off twice because of safety concerns, once at Cadillac Drive, east of Locust Grove Road, and the second on Franklin Road at Eagle Road.

Ada County deputies eventually found the car in a parking lot in the 900 block of Emerald Street.

The three occupants of the car were found walking in another parking lot a short distance away.

Ellis was arrested on several charges including felony eluding a peace officer.

One of the passengers, 27-year-old Norma Garcia was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Canyon County for failure to appear on an original charge trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia with a $25,000 bond.

The other person in the car, Taylor Herren, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
