KUNA -- Two men accused of stealing at least seven firearms, among other items, from a Kuna home last week are now in the Ada County Jail.
According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, both 19-year-old Dustin Meuser of McCall and 19-year-old Maximillian Raley from Kuna are charged with felony grand theft in connection with the incident, which deputies say happened on Wednesday, November 7.
Meuser and Raley were arrested between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Sheriff's deputies say the men had been living out of a pickup in the Kuna area.
ACSO spokesperson Andrea Dearden says both men admitted to stealing the guns when questioned by authorities.
Dearden says Meuser and Raley followed the 32-year-old victim to his home after meeting at a local convenience store. Dearden says Meuser and Raley had asked the victim to borrow electrical tape.
However, both 19-year-olds say when they arrived at the man's home, the victim showed them several firearms, then pointed a gun at them. According to Dearden, the 32-year-old victim "refused to let them leave until they consumed alcohol with him."
Dearden says Meuser and Raley admitted to drinking alcohol with the victim, then stealing the guns and other items from his home after he had fallen asleep.
Both 19-year-olds admitted to pawning some of the items afterward.
Two hikers discovered the stolen guns hidden inside the nearby Kuna cave complex on Sunday. Deputies say several were broken into pieces.
A receipt with Raley's name on it was recovered near the cave. In addtion, detectives say Meuser attempted to pawn several of the stolen items on Tuesday. Authorities say that evidence led them to identify the 19-year-olds as suspects in the theft.
Investigators say other items taken from the home were found inside the pick-up truck where the two men have been living.
Three dogs were also found to be living in the pick-up truck and were placed into the custody of the Idaho Humane Society.
Both men appeared in Ada County Court on Wednesday where they were arraigned on charges of felony grand theft. Meuser is being held on a $200,000 bond. Raley is a being held on a $75,000 bond.
Dearden says the 32-year-old victim in the case is also being investigated.
