"Twilight" movie stars Idaho native

The latest box office winner, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” has a connection to Idaho. One of the movie's heartthrobs is one of Idaho's own.

Known as Sam Uley in the movie, actor Chaske Spencer grew up in Kooskia, Idaho.

Spencer graduated from Clearwater Valley High School and attended Lewis Clark State College for a year before leaving to pursue his acting career.

Spencer got his start by acting as a young teen at the Lewiston Civic Theater.

He is currently 34 years old and is slated to star in the next installment of the series, “Eclipse,” which is due out in 2010.
