BOISE -- Idaho Power officials say electricity has been restored to 12,600 customers who were left without power for about an hour this afternoon after a pickup truck hit a power pole in west Boise.

Kevin Winslow with Idaho Power says the outage was reported at 12:44 p.m.

The truck hit a power pole at W. Bridgetower and S. Five Mile Road.  Ada County dispatch told us that power lines are down.

The affected area was between Ustick Road and Fairview Avenue, and Cloverdale Road and Maple Grove Road.

Less than an hour after the outage was reported Idaho Power sent out a tweet that power had been restored to all customers in the area and crews were working to replace the power pole.
