BOISE -- The music schedule has been finalized for Boise's second-annual Treefort Music Festival.

The event will be held in Boise's Linen District from Thursday, March 21 to Sunday, March 24.

With all the anticipation surrounding Treefort artists -- including constant airplay on Radio Boise, write-ups on local news websites (like KTVB.COM), etc. -- it's hard to ignore what could someday become a signature event for the City of Trees.

There's also the fact that over 250 bands are on the list.

Big names include Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Boise band Built to Spill, Animal Collective, Gold Panda, Dan Deacon, Yacht, Youth Lagoon, and Brother Ali

Because the festival is billed as an "emerging artist" experience, some folks might not recognize all the musicians. Publicity Director Matt Dalley says there's an easy way to get a preview.

"We have a soundcloud where folks can go and sample some of the artists that are in Treefort" Dalley said.

The festival's website also does a pretty decent job of breaking down the musical stylings, and includes links to band bios, YouTube videos and websites.

What's more, Dalley says the Treefort crew has stacked the lineups to make the show interesting and keep different varieties of music in listener's ears.

So how do you organize 250 bands and multiple venues over four days?

Dalley says his crew used giant poster boards and sticky notes. "We used hundreds and hundreds of sticky notes."

Single and and multi-day passes range from $30 to $200.

Those who want to buy tickets can do so here.
