BOISE -- A 16-year-old Eagle girl critically injured in last week's crash on Highway 16 has died.
She had been in the hospital at Saint Alphonsus since the crash on Dec. 10.
The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 16 and Floating Feather Road.
Police say the teen was driving west on Floating Feather Road, stopped at the stop sign, then continued forward.
That is when she was hit by another driver going north on Highway 16.
The 16-year-old and her passenger were taken to the hospital.
The 50-year-old driver of the other car was also taken to Saint Alphonsus where she has received ongoing medical care. Her current condition is unknown.
The name of the 16-year-old driver and her exact cause of death will be released by the Ada County coroner after all necessary notifications are made.
