DIETRICH, Idaho -- A south-central Idaho high school science teacher being investigated amid complaints by parents says he's done nothing wrong or inappropriate in class.
Dietrich High School biology teacher Tim McDaniel also says the school is notorious for letting students and parents scare off good teachers.
McDaniel is the subject of an investigation by the state's Professional Standards Commission. The Times-News reports that the inquiry followed complaints from four parents accusing McDaniel of sharing student information, teaching different forms of birth control and promoting a political candidate on school grounds.
The parents were also offended after learning McDaniel taught details of sex education in his biology class.
In a letter to the commission, McDaniel says in 17 years of teaching he's never had a complaint from parents.
