MERIDIAN -- Boise and Meridian school districts are resuming H1N1 vaccinations.

Back in October vaccine supplies were short and the health department stopped school-based vaccinations after just a day and a half.

Meridian High gave out well over 200 vaccinations Tuesday morning.  The amount of vaccines given were much lower than what Central District Health was expecting.

In October, schools reported that more than 60 percent of elementary students received the H1N1 vaccine.

Today, about 250 students got vaccinated - some say that is less than 20 percent of students at Meridian High.

The strike team has moved from this school and are now heading to Kuna.

This new round of vaccines will focus on middle and high school students, and will include private and charter schools.

Central Distric Health says they now have enough vaccinations to go through mid-January.

Vaccine information sheets and school consent forms can also be downloaded from the CDHD website www.cdhd.idaho.gov.

The vaccination campaign is completely voluntary, and no child will be vaccinated without a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.  All vaccine administered through the health department is free.
