BOISE -- Students from Cole Valley Christian High School were marching to end hunger Saturday.
The students and some members from area churches took to the sidewalks in downtown Boise.
They were marching to raise canned food and monetary donations for the Boise Rescue Mission and the City Light Home for Women and Children.
“Our goal is we really want to raise awareness,” said Jonathan Sorenson, who organized the event. “That's the big thing to show that with the way the economy is that the Boise Rescue Mission, and especially City Light, is having a hard time."
This is the second year for the March to End Hunger food drive.
