BOISE -- Starting just after 5:00 p.m., KTVB began receiving multiple reports of slide-offs and crashes in the Treasure Valley area.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office reports getting multiple calls to crashes around the Boise area and is urging drivers to slow down and increase following distances.

Locust Grove was just reopened at Franklin and also at Overland. A KTVB photographer on the scene says the roadway was icy and road crews were working to put down sand before reopening.

A crash on 1-84 westbound at Vista (exit 34) is now clear. All left lanes were previously blocked.

Other crashes reported this evening included a crash on I-84 at Garrity that happened just after 6:00 p.m. and took over an hour to clear.

Boise County dispatchers have received reports of slide-offs on Bogus Basin Road, though at last check those reports had not been confirmed.

Elmore County dispatchers are also reporting slide-offs throughout the area. Jerome and Twin Falls Counties are reporting very icy and slippery conditions and have been taking emergency calls for slide-offs and crashes since around 5:00 p.m.

Owyhee County is reporting black ice and snow. Malheur County, Oregon has responded to around a dozen slide-offs or crashes, though has no reports of severe crashes.

Check back for more updates and traffic conditions as we continue to update.
