SUN VALLEY -- The countdown to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia is set at 269 days. That timeline is not lost on people in Idaho's olympic home of Sun Valley.

The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation is a major reason why the Sun Valley Ski Team was named the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Club of the Year.

Founded in 1966, the Sun Valley team has been the launch pad for some of America's best ever olympians, including Picabo Street and Christin Cooper.

Now the goal is putting a half dozen Sun Valley team members on the U.S. Olympic Team.

"Six at Sochi" is the rally cry.  Events are being held to help raise funds, including a fundraiser set for August.
