BOISE -- It's that exciting time of year, where students are preparing for a fresh start at school.

However, there are dozens of kids at Boise Rescue Mission's City Lights, who need a little help getting off on the right foot.

City Lights is currently housing about 80 kids, who just like any other student, need the right supplies and clothing to get year started right.

"It's hard enough to be homeless, but to go back to school and not fit in, most of our kids are wearing used clothing. So we want them to flourish in school by looking good and feeling good and doing better," said Boise Rescue Mission Development Director Jason Billester.

City Lights is seeking donations, including paper, markers, backpacks and clothes for all ages.

Any donation can be dropped off at the shelter at North 14th Street and West Jefferson Street in Downtown Boise.
