CAMAS COUNTY -- Idaho State Police are investigating a crash on U.S. Highway 20 near Fairfield on Saturday afternoon.
ISP says Deputy Johnathan Graybill was driving eastbound on the highway in a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, when he passed a vehicle attemping to initiate a traffic stop.
Police say while he was merging back into the eastbound lanes, and over corrected going off the road rolling several times before coming to a rest in a field where it caught on fire.
ISP says Deputy Graybill was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was ejected from the Tahoe.
He was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Wood River in Ketchum
