BURLEY, Idaho -- Deputies with the Cassia County Sheriff's Office are investigating after two men were reported missing from a motel in Burley.

Sheriff Randy Kidd says there are suspicious circumstances in the case, but he's not yet sure if a crime has been committed.

He declined to release many details, but said officials began investigating Friday evening after learning that tenants James Duane Ambrose and Russ Taft were missing. He said deputies obtained search warrants and searched some locations, but he would not say if those searches took place at the Alpine Motel where the men had been living.

Kidd said a taxi cab owned by the motel had gone missing and was involved in an accident in Las Vegas Saturday.  No other details were released.
