NAMPA -- Highway 55 in Nampa has some of the busiest intersections in the state and now it is seeing a new type of traveler.

Several hundred sheep have taken over a pasture just off the highway.

The Peruvian sheepherders have spent the past nine months in the mountains near the McCall with their livestock and they are now making their way back to the sheep camps for the next three months.

Those camps are located in various spots around the valley.

This band of sheep has already cross Highway 55 and they are headed to the Melba area for the winter.
