BOISE -- Westbound lanes on Interstate 84 near the Eagle Road exit were partially blocked for over three hours after a semi truck caught on fire.
The fire started near the Eagle Road exit just around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday.
"He looked back in the mirror and saw that the truck was on fire and pulled over and tried to get it put out. He did the right thing obviously getting pulled over and do what he could. That's why they're required to carry fire extinguishers," said Trooper Joshua Hurley with the Idaho State Police.
ISP says the driver of the truck managed to pull over and disconnect the trailer. He was not hurt.
