BOISE -- One lane of Highway 95 in Washington County was blocked for more than four-and-a-half hours Tuesday morning after a semi truck crashed.

Around 7:30 a.m., Idaho State Police were called to investigate a commercial vehicle crash near milepost 116.

Police say Keith A. St Hill, 35, of Hampton, Virginia, was southbound in a Swift Transport semi when he drove off the right shoulder of the highway.  He traveled about 300 feet, over-corrected and crossed the northbound lanes.  The semi took out 200 feet of guardrail before plunging down a 50-foot embankment and coming to rest.

St. Hill was wearing a seat belt and not injured in the crash.  He was taken into custody for careless driving and operating an over-length vehicle without a permit.

Police say alcohol was not a factor.
