EAGLE -- A Nampa woman has been cited for driving too fast for conditions after her Ford F-150 pickup rear-ended a Meridian School  District bus on Eagle Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, the school bus was stopped on Eagle Road waiting to turn west onto Island Woods Drive when the truck slid into the back of the bus around 3:30 p.m.

The bus was transporting middle school students at the time of the crash. No one was hurt.

Eagle Police say the pickup driver, 32-year-old Cynthia Ortiz, was in the lane next to the bus when she attempted to stop for a traffic signal, but lost control of her truck.  She was not going very fast, but investigators say the speed was too high to maintain control on the slippery road.

Ortiz was also cited for driving without privileges and failure to have auto insurance.  She was not injured in the crash.
