RUPERT, Idaho -- A 66-year-old Rupert man has died from injuries he sustained in a rollover crash on State Highway 24 this morning, according to the Idaho State Police.
The crash happened around 9:35 a.m. Monday near where Highway 24 intersects with State Highway 25, south of Rupert.
Investigators say Darwin Davis was eastbound on the highway when his Chevy pickup truck veered into the westbound lanes, struck a curb and went through a chain link fence. It then hit a piece of agricultural equipment and came to rest on its right side.
Davis was transported to Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert where he was pronounced dead.
The two westbound lanes of State Highway 24 were closed for about three hours while police investigated.
