BOISE -- Hundreds of people without homes in Boise received Thanksgiving meals a day early.
Members of the NewsChannel 7 team helped serve turkey with the trimmings during lunch time at the River of Life Rescue Mission.
Governor Butch Otter and Idaho First Lady Lori Otter also volunteered.
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries director, the Reverend Bill Roscoe, says the number of Thanksgiving meals served at the Boise and Nampa locations is about 600 more than last year.
"You know, a lot of these people have never been in a situation where they've needed to come to our Thanksgiving banquet, or they've needed to come get a turkey for their family," said Roscoe.
Albertsons/Supervalu helped the Rescue Mission provide today's Thanksgiving meals.
