BOISE -- Sports-cars raced through the parking lot of Expo Idaho on Saturday for the Snake River Region's Sports Car Club of America's autocross event.
Drivers with all sorts of cars and skill levels, raced against each other in timed events.
Event organizers say people come to race, because it's a safe and exciting way to compete behind the wheel.
"For me it's the competition. I race against five different people," said event master, Adam Helm. "We all race and have times within about 100th of a second of each other. So it's really fun, really close racing."
The races continue on Sunday, and they're expected to have another event in Mountain home, next month.
