MERIDIAN -- Ada County Sheriff's deputies, Meridian Police, Meridian Firefighters, and other rescue officials responded to a broken-down RV that burst into flames while driving northbound on Eagle Road Tuesday.
The driver of the RV told KTVB that he was test-driving his vehicle in preparation for a road-trip when the fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. The driver -- who also says he's a former bus driver -- told KTVB that he did not panic as he tried to put out the fire with an onboard fire extinguisher.
However, since that fire extinguisher was not enough to put out the fire, the driver was forced to pull-over in traffic, call 9-1-1, and wait for emergency responders to help.
Meridian Police say the situation blocked a large portion of the road for more than an hour on Tuesday morning.
No one was injured in the fire.
