BOISE -- A public memorial service for Micron CEO Steve Appleton, who was killed in a plane crash on February 3, will be held in a few weeks.
The public memorial will take place on February 23, at 10 a.m. at Taco Bell Arena.
Memorial funds have been established in Appleton's name with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Boise State University Foundation. The Micron Foundation donated $25,000 to each of those funds in his honor.
Steve Appleton was killed when his experimental fixed wing single engine Lancair crashed while trying to return to the Boise Airport. He was 51.
