BOISE -- The Ada County Sheriff's Office is investigation two bomb threats that were called into the Ada County Courthouse this morning.

The first threat came in just before 9 a.m. It was then relayed to dispatchers.

Workers inside the courthouse were not evacuated, and no one was let inside the building while deputies investigated.

A Boise Police K9 was brought in to search in and around the building. Nothing suspicious was found during that search.

Around 10:30 a.m., the all clear was given and people were let back in the building.

Shortly after activity resumed at the courthouse, a second phone threat was received by an employee. Because of the earlier security measures taken by officers after the first phone threat, no additional action was taken.

Detectives say they are working on a suspect description and following up on the threatening phone calls.

There have been instances of bomb scares at courthouses in the past where a defendant did not want to show up for court. It is unclear if this is one of those situations.

If you have a court date today, it would be a good idea to check with the court to see if they are back on schedule or experiencing any delays because of the bomb scare.
