CANYON COUNTY -- About two thousand customers were without power Thursday morning.
The outage happened around 3:40 a.m. and affected portions of Nampa, Caldwell, Marsing, Melba and the Snake River area.
Idaho Power tells us as of 7:30 a.m., six hundred customers were still without power.
The outage was caused by a transmission pole that burned.
Crews are on the scene working to replace the power pole, which could take anywhere from four to six hours.
