BOISE -- Police say a drunk Boise man tried to punch and bite officers when he was arrested late Sunday night after allegedly driving under the influence.
Boise Police officers arrested 52-year-old Louis B. Christensen at approximately 10:45 p.m. Sunday. They say the Boise man had been reported by acquaintances for making verbal threats, and then drinking and driving.
Officers say when they pulled Christensen over in his vehicle near Butte and Liberty Streets, he seemed "very intoxicated," and tried to punch and bite officers.
Police also report Christensen had an open container of beer in his car.
Christensen was booked at the Ada County jail on charges of felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor DUI, midemeanor resisting arrest, and misdeameanor driving with an open container.
