NEAR RATHDRUM, Idaho--The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office needs help identifying a man found in a field near Rathdrum, Idaho.

The unconscious man was found in a field near N. Chase Road and State Highway 53 around 9 a.m. Monday.  It’s unknown how long he was lying there.  He doesn’t have any obvious signs of trauma.

He is reportedly in critical condition at Kootenai Medical Center.  He’s described as 50 years of age, about 5’9” with a slender build.  He has brown hair and green eyes and was only wearing dark colored sweat pants.  He is missing the tip of his middle finger on his right hand.

Anyone who knows the man’s identity or has information on how he ended up in the field is asked to call the Kootenai County sheriff’s Office at (208) 446-1300.
