BOISE - Boise Police say a man stole four bottles of wine from a Boise store - and when officers caught him, he started kicking them and threatened to kill them.
It happened Thursday evening at a store on the 1500 block of State Street. Police refused to identify the name of the store.
A spokesperson says Michael R. Evans, 38 walked into the store, took four bottles of wine, and left without paying. When they tried to take Evans into custody, officers say he "repeatedly kicked and fought with police." They also say he threatened to kill them several times.
Police booked Evans into the Ada County Jail on three felony charges - including burglary, battery on an officer and intimidation of a witness.
