PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho -- The person of interest in a 60-year-old woman's death is now in custody.
Adams County deputies found 18-year-old Tyler Naughton in Adams County at around 9 p.m. Sunday in a stolen 2006 Ford pickup truck. The search covered over 100 miles of back country and mountain roads over an 8-hour period.
Investigators have also released the name of the 60-year-old victim. She is Sherryl M. Kenney. At around 7 a.m. Sunday, Payette County deputies and Fruitland police officers found Kenney dead in her home. Police did not release a cause of death and are waiting for autopsy results. Her death is being treating as a homicide.
Naughton is a relative of Kenney and is now being held at the Adams County Jail, pending charges on the stolen vehicle.
Payette County Sheriff, Chad Huff, said Sunday that "Quite possibly, [Naughton] will become a suspect in the future."
The investigation continues.
