JEROME -- Police in south-central Idaho are continuing to investigate a shooting that left a Gooding man in critical condition.
Police in Jerome tell The Times-News in a story on Saturday that Daniel Young was dropped off at St. Luke's in Jerome at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday with a gunshot wound to his head.
Police say 22-year-old Daniel Ritter dropped off Young and then quickly left. Police took him into custody a short time later.
Ritter has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, eluding an officer, possession of a concealed weapon without a permit, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Young was later transferred to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Jerome Police Chief Dan Hall says circumstances of the shooting aren't clear.
