EAGLE -- Ada County Sheriff's Office says a woman has turned herself in after they say she crashed into the back of a school bus Thursday, and fled the scene.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, just one student was aboard the bus when the crash was reported around 9 a.m.

Joint School District No. 2 spokesman Eric Exline said bus no. 515 was preparing to turn into the Gallileo Math and Science Academy when the crash happened.

Exline said there was very little damage to the school bus, but you could see red paint underneath the bus from the SUV.

"Right here you can see a little bit where the car would have scraped," said Exline.

Exline said the accident is of even more concern, following the deadly school bus crash one week ago.

"I think everyone has a heightened awareness and concern about bus accidents and if there is one, making sure everyone is okay, because of the tragic situation in Kuna," said Exline.

Exline said the one student on board and the bus driver are okay.

Officials say no charges have been filed yet, and the incident is still under investigation.
