BOISE -- Police say a man who allegedly stole an 18-pack of beer from a convenience store then head-butted a police officer who tried to arrest him.
Officers report 37-year-old Charles C. Sly from Boise allegedly stole an 18-pack of beer from a convenience store near the 1500 block of West State Street on Friday evening.
Boise Police say that when officers tracked Sly down in a nearby parking lot, he refused to follow directions, began to fight, and then head-butted a police officer.
Furthermore, officers report that Sly continued to resist and fight all the way to the Ada County jail.
Sly was booked on three felony charges of battery on an officer, and one misdemeanor count of resisting and obstructing.
Police say the beer was recovered.
