BOISE -- Police say the driver who struck a pedestrian trying to cross a downtown Boise street early Friday morning has been cited for failure to yield.
The woman was not injured in the crash, but was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
The incident happened near Broadway Avenue and Park Boulevard around 6:21 a.m.
According to the Boise Police Department, the driver claimed he did not see the woman in the dark.
The charge of failure to yield to a pedestrian carries a $90 fine.
