ADA COUNTY -- The battle over downtown parking sensors between the Ada County Highway District and the City of Boise continues.
The sensors detect whenever a car enters or exits a parking space to limit how long you can park there. Late last month, ACHD commissioners voted against entering into an agreement with the city of Boise on those new parking sensors.
Now, ACHD has issued a letter to the city saying they must take out the 68 sensors the city already installed, and get them out in the next 30 days.
City Spokesman Adam Park said the mayor and city council are going to decide how to respond to the letter and review their options. Park did not say that they would begin removing the sensors right now.
