BOISE -- Police say a Boise couple is behind bars after officers found three children living in a filthy home without power or heat in early November.

Deric J. Stellman, 31, and Crystal Terry, 32, were arrested just after 12 a.m. Tuesday.

Police declined to say whether Stellman and Terry were the children's parents, but did say they were "custodians" of the three children.

Authorities say they received a tip from an anonymous citizen back in November about unsafe conditions in the couple's home. They say the resulting welfare check on Nov. 9 found three small children living in a home without heat or power, and in conditions that included animal feces, soiled diapers, and rotting food.

The children were declared to be in imminent danger, and were turned over to the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Stellman and Terry are each charged with one count of felony injury to a child.
