VALE, Oregon -- One person is dead and another two are injured after a head-on crash Friday night on Highway 20.
The crash happened around 10:43 p.m., about 20 miles west of Vale.
A 1996 Ford Mustang, driven by Nancy Jo Marshall, 60, from Juntura, Oregon, was eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 224. For unknown reasons, she crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Jeffrey D. Underwood, 55, of Pocatello, Idaho.
Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jeffrey D. Underwood was seriously injured and was taken by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. His passenger, Joyce Underwood, 52, also from Pocatello, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario.
