BOISE -- Most Idahoans are turning to tried and true names for their newborns; a select few are opting for more distinctive monikers derived from worldwide leaders and ancient conquerors.

The state bureau of vital records reveals Olivia and William were the most popular baby names in Idaho in 2010.

The Spokesman-Review reports that other top names for girls are Emma, Sophia, Ava and Abigail; Samuel, Logan, Ethan, Jacob round out the top-five for boys.

Some parents picked ambition over popularity, including a girl named Espn -- also the title of the sports network known as the Worldwide Leader in Sports -- and a boy named Genghis, the name of an ancient Mongolian warrior.

The motivation behind others is less clear: W'dbln, Hemi, Oo, Character, Dagger, Laugh and King Tiberius.
