POST FALLS, Idaho -- Post Falls Police confirm they will seek an additional felony charge against a former church youth leader, already accused of having sex with teens.

Officers say Jordan Vernon, 20, will face a second statutory rape charge for an alleged encounter with a 16-year-old.

Vernon already faces felony charges including Infamous Crimes Against Nature, Lewd Conduct with a Child Under 16, Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 16, and Statutory Rape-Sex with a Child Under 18.

He is accused of having sex with the 14-year-old in 2007, and sex with 17-year-old as recently as this year.

Police say Vernon is a former volunteer youth leader at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls. Real Life officials informed police of the accusations against Vernon, and have been cooperative during the investigation.

Detectives believe all of the alleged sex crimes happened off church property, but that Vernon made a point to be alone with the victims.

In police documents, a victim claimed she told Vernon she didn't want to have sex, but Vernon told her to trust him.

A picture of one of the victims during a sexual encounter with Vernon has been collected as evidence, and Vernon allegedly admitted to a friend in a conversation over MySpace that he had sex with a minor. Vernon's brother, Luke Denman, was arrested for intimidating that witness.
