NAMPA -- A 37-year-old Nampa woman faces a felony charge of exploitation of a vulnerable adult after police say she stole more that $50,000 from her grandmother.

Jeannie Halsell was arrested on Wednesday, after an investigation by the Nampa Police Department Vulnerable Task Force, a federally funded program created to investigate financial and physical abuse of vulnerable adults.

Police say the thefts occurred over a two year period.

If convicted Halsell could face up to ten years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Her arraignment is set for December 4.
