NAMPA -- A student travel club from Nampa High School not only got a private tour of the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. this week, but their tour guide was none other than U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador.
The students had been worried that, because of the government shutdown, their trip would be lacking certain highlights.
But in the end, their trip turned out more successful than they could have ever imagined.
The students got to meet with U.S. Sen. Jim Risch and take a tour of the Capitol Building and Library of Congress with Labrador acting as tour guide.
Labrador also took the kids to lunch at a restaurant.
"The kids really felt special and really got a lot out of it," said teacher Camille Levi. "They were impressed and I think it might make a huge impact."
If that wasn't enough, the students even got to meet Speaker of the House, John Boehner.
