BOISE -- Two are in the hospital and another is dead after two seperate motorcycle crashes Saturday afternoon.
The first crash happened shortly before 2 PM this afternoon on Highway 71 at milepost 28 near Cambridge. Jackie Whitlach was driving her motorcycle when she went off the right shoulder and crashed. She was transported to St. Alphonsus by air, where she died from injuries relating to the crash. Whitlach was not wearing a helmet.
The second crash happened in Bannock County about three hours later. Nicholas Iasonides was driving on Portneuf Road when he also drove off the right shoulder and lost control. Iasonides and his passenger, Melissa Iasonides were both thrown from the motorcycle and injured. They were taken to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Neither were wearing helmets.
Both crashes are still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
