TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Multiple lightning-caused fires were reported in Twin Falls Sunday.
The Twin Falls Bureau of Land Management said that the largest two of them are the Owinza Fire and the Rattle Snake Butte Fire.
The Owinza Fire was reported around 5 p.m. near Star Lake, north of Hazelton. That fire is currently estimated at 20,000 acres and is said to be growing rapidly.
The Rattle Snake Butte Fire was reported around 11 a.m. and is currently estimated at 663 acres. It is burning about 15 miles east of Minidoka.
Containment and control times for these fires have not been set.
