BOISE -- Construction on the Connector began Sunday night.
Crews are working in the area from the Flying Wye to 13th Street, and will be re-sealing joints and grinding off the concrete surface to increase skid resistance from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. every Sunday through Thursday.
Nearly 57,000 cars and trucks use the Connector each day.
The Idaho Transportation Department said crews will not be allowed to work on nights of Boise State football games. ITD did say that some weekend work may be required.
The work was supposed to start last Monday, but was delayed. ITD said the original completion date for the work, late September, is still what they are planning on.
