BOISE -- A man was taken to the hospital Friday morning after being hit by an SUV.
The accident happened in a parking lot of the Idaho Transportation Department complex on the 3300 block of West State Street.
Police say the pedestrian, a man in his 60s, remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are continuing to investigate what they are describing as a "slow speed" collision.
Officers say around 7 a.m. a woman driving a Ford Expedition SUV was rounding a corner of the parking lot, driving at a very slow speed, when she hit the man on foot.
Visibility may have been a factor for both the motorist and the pedestrian, because it was still dark outside, and the collision occurred in an area when trees can obstruct a motorists view. No citations have been issued.
