BOISE -- A Caldwell man is dead after a forklift accident in downtown Boise this morning.
Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg has identified the victim as 51-year-old Todd L. Wolf. The cause of death is blunt force trauma due to an industrial accident.
Boise Police officers responded to the accident scene on Washington Street near 7th Street around 9:50 a.m..
An official with the Idaho State Controller's Office says a recycling company had come there to pick up some old electronics equipment when the accident occurred. Three men were on the truck and two of them had gone inside the building. Wolf was offloading the forklift when it overturned, killing him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was an employee of Pacific Steel and Recyling.
Officials with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration in Boise say they are investigating.
