CALDWELL -- The man accused of making bombs, leading police on a chase, and putting many lives in danger was in a Canyon County courtroom this morning.
Bruce Loggins, 37, was in court to face drug and firearm charges he pleaded guilty to last year. He was scheduled for sentencing earlier this year but never showed up. It was reset today for March 24.
Authorities say charges against Loggins have been dropped in Elmore County. He had faced charges of possession of stolen car and possession of bombs or destructive devices.
In Canyon County, he had two outstanding felony warrants.
Prosecutors say Loggins failed to appear for sentencing and two $75,000 warrants were issued.
In February, Garden City Police say Loggins led them on a high-speed chase while driving a stolen car.
That same night police found a duffel bag containing three pipe bombs and other explosives in Garden City.
Loggins was arrested later that night in Mountain Home. Investigators say they found more bombs in the car he was driving.
A spokesperson for the FBI says they did investigate "allegations of threats against infrastructures in Idaho," but she could not provide any additional information. Their investigation found no evidence of domestic terrorism threats.
Loggins faces several charges in Ada County.
Garden City Police say the case has been turned over to Ada County prosecutors for review. Charges could be forthcoming.
The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms says Loggins could face federal charges for manufacturing explosive devices. A spokesperson says their investigation is ongoing.
