BOISE -- Ornaments made by students from Boise's Fairmont Junior High School have been selected to hang on the National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C.
They will be among ornaments from each state and the District of Columbia.
Idaho's ornament designs were made to reflect the gem-like qualities of the Gem State.
The ornaments include:
- The appaloosa, Idaho's state horse, created by Julian Valenzuela.
- The syringa, Idaho's state flower, created by Brittany Thatch.
- The bluebird, Idaho's state bird, created by Ethan Seward.
- The Idaho potato, created by Drew Siple.
