BOISE --  Les Bois Park is once again opening to live horse racing.

Nearly 850 horses are stabled at Les Bois Park in Garden City gearing up the the 36 day live racing season.

Post time is Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

General admission for adults is $5, anyone under 17 gets in free and Wednesday is also ladies night, where all women get in free too.

Opening week also includes the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby Day celebration starting around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Included in that race is Boise's Larry and Marianne Williams' colt "Rousing Sermon."

Which, according to the Daily Racing Forum, "Was the only derby starter to train on the track today...onlookers called the 5-furlong sprint, 'impressive'."

Les Bois Park will simulcast the derby with open betting windows.
