BOISE -- Saturday was a very important day for some Treasure Valley families who have kids with conditions or injuries that may need medical help.
Those kids were able to get a free screening to see what sort of treatments are out there, as it's something many families can't even afford to do in today's economy.
The El Korah Shriners and Idaho State University - Meridian hosted the free clinic for children with orthopedic conditions, burns and spinal cord injuries.
The purpose is to get them in for possible treatment at a Shriners Hospital for Children.
"Times being what they are and medical expenses being what they are a lot of people don't have the means to provide the kinds of evaluations that they are getting here today, and if we can help them at a Shriners hospital we do so at no cost to them," said El Korah Shriners Potentate Ron Lester.
If you missed the screening you can also call 208-343-0571. to see if your child qualifies for treatment.
