BOISE -- We don’t like to think about summer ending, but soon the kids will be heading back to school.
The first annual KIDSFEST took place Saturday to make sure families were ready to send their kids back to school.
The organizers of the festival said it’s a celebration featuring free, family-friendly activities, held at the Boise Towne Square Mall.
Parents were able to bring the kids to the mall for some fun that involved crafts and face painting, even a D.J and a back to school fashion show.
“It’s been fabulous we have had hundreds of kids and families come and enjoy all of the arts and crafts face painting music dancing and best of all seeing the fall fashions,” said Marketing Manager for the Boise Towne Square Mall, Tina Kierce.
Kids had the chance to win some fun prizes, as well, all in an effort to get kids in the back to school spirit.
The event was also completely free for families to enjoy.
